It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a wonderful husband, father and grandfather at 87 years of age. Beloved husband and best friend to Sally. Loving father of Sarah Wise and husband Jeremy. Cherished PAPA of Yasmine, Samantha and Tristan. Dearest brother of Hans and predeceased by his siblings, Theresa, Polly, Frieda, and Franz. Dear brother-in-law of Edgar (Grace) and Letty (Bong). He will also be remembered by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Rudi retired as a welder in 1993 from Windsor Salt Mines after 15 years of service and was a member of the Pipe Fitters Union. He will be missed by his family, friends and neighbours. His family was his joy. The family would like to thank the Dr.'s and staff at Leamington Hospital and Hospice of Windsor for their wonderful care. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 87 Maidstone Ave. E, Essex (519-776-4233) on Monday 2-5 and 7-9 pm and on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 146 Talbot Street South, Essex from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Fr. Dave Boutette officiating. Parish Prayers Monday 7:30 pm. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Maidstone. If desired, memorial Donations made to Hospice of Windsor Essex County would be appreciated. Family and friends are invited to share their memories or make a donation online at www.reidfuneralhome.ca
